The University Research Institute for Sustainable Social Development (INDESS) is a centre dedicated fundamentally to research, training, transfer and advising institutions (public and private) with the aim of promoting sustainable development.
The object of its activity is clearly interdisciplinary and specialized, being an autonomous and independent entity from the other Departments of the UCA, and it is comprised of large areas of knowledge through which it carries out its functions. INDESS is made up of three major areas that are fully interconnected. Cooperation works thanks to the transverse nature of the research groups, work teams and technicians who are part of the institute, combining experience and social commitment.
As a common thread that characterizes it, its goal is sustainability from a social, economic, legal and environmental point of view.
Lines of research
The research to be carried out by the members of INDESS aims to carry out coordinated analysis from different legal, economic, social and health disciplines and from all those related to social research, the creation of businesses, sustainability and global change.
